Pandemic Visions 2021

New FMVA Social Media Event
Going into the winter months at the height of a pandemic is hard to imagine. What do you see? Constraints of all kinds? FMVA is adding another… this one in hopes of encouraging moments of play & virtual socializing. Fargo Moorhead Visual Artists invites all local creatives to envision monthly prompts and share their pandemic visions. Imagination, a way to embrace community this winter; together.

How to submit your Pandemic Visions
Instagram
 – use #fmvartists when you are posting your visions on your account. Remember to follow this hashtag to see all the submissions.

Facebook – join FMVA group and post your ‘visions’ to the group.  https://www.facebook.com/groups/fmvagroup
Please allow a day for our FMVA volunteers to accept your request to join.

FMVA volunteers will pick approximately 6 FMVA members’ submissions to showcase in FMVA’s monthly newsletter. Your submission post can be an image, artwork, poem, passing thoughts – to where ever your imagination or vision takes you. And you can post as many as you like.  Please share this event. Anyone can participate.

Winter Wonderland

Freshly fallen snow pads the landscape. Nature is hushed, quilted in a pristine twinkle. The ground is punctuated with prints left by darting bunnies and birds. Moonlight bouncing off snow illuminates the night sky like no other season, making magic out of darkness.

Great Escape

“To become truly immortal, a work of art must escape all human limits: logic and common sense will only interfere.
But once these barriers are broken, it will enter the realms of childhood visions and dreams.”

Giorgio de Chirico
